Jahrhundert, zum Zeitpunkt der Errichtung des Bischofssitzes, besiedelt und geh\u00f6rte zum bisch\u00f6flichen und nicht zum st\u00e4dtschen Gerichtsbezirk. Die Bewohner waren vom Bischof abh\u00e4ngige Bauern, die Landwirtschaft betrieben, Abgaben und Zinsen zu leisten hatten, aber den Grundbesitz erbrechtlich inne hatten. Auff\u00e4llig, im Bildmittelpunkt, eine historische Pferdebahn. Halberstadt besa\u00df ab 1887 dieses \u00f6ffentliche Transportmittel, die sogenannten \u201eHafermotoren\u201c mit ihren auff\u00e4lligen dunkelgr\u00fcnen Wagen mit Holzb\u00e4nken. Schon fr\u00fchzeitig wurden diese auch als fahrende Werbeschilder genutzt.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"fontstyle0\"><br \/>\nDie Begeisterung der Halberst\u00e4dter bei der Einf\u00fchrung der Pferdebahn war gro\u00df. Ein Unbekannter hat damals folgendes Gedicht ver\u00f6ffentlicht:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"fontstyle0\">Freue Dich, o Halberstadt,<br \/>\ndenn die Zeit jetzt endlich naht &#8211;<br \/>\nwas man Dir versprochen hat<br \/>\nrasselt demn\u00e4chst durch die Stadt!<br \/>\nExtra f\u00fcr uns hergestellt,<br \/>\nwurdest Du in Bielefeld.<br \/>\nUnd in einer dunklen Nacht<br \/>\nwurdest Du nach hier gebracht.<br \/>\nAlles str\u00f6mte schnell herbei,<br \/>\ndamals, B\u00e4hnchen, warst Du neu.<br \/>\nUnd mit Kr\u00e4nzen fein geschm\u00fcckt,<br \/>\nhat manch Auge Dich erblickt.<br \/>\nMit der Pferdebahn zum Martiniplan<br \/>\nf\u00e4hrt man f\u00fcr 10 Pfennig sanft und wohl.<br \/>\nUnd wie wundersch\u00f6n,<br \/>\nsorgst Du f\u00fcr die Z\u00e4hn\u2018,<br \/>\ndenn jede preist uns an ODOL!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ab dem 2.
