\/>\nAn der Moritzkirche 6 \u2013 8<\/p>\n<p>Am westlichen Rand der Altstadt gelegen, erhebt sich die an die Reste der Stadtmauer angrenzende Moritzkirche, das Schl\u00fcsselwerk der mitteldeutschen Sp\u00e4tgotik. Trotz ihrer wechselvollen Nutzungsgeschichte \u2013 Stiftskirche Augustiner Chorherren, Dominikanerkirche, lutherische Pfarrkirche der Halleschen Pf\u00e4nner und heute als r\u00f6misch-katholische Pfarrkirche,<br \/>\nhat sich ihr Erscheinungsbild kaum ver\u00e4ndert.<br \/>\nIhre unmittelbare Umgebung jedoch unterlag vielseitigen und einschneidenden Umgestaltungen. An der Nordseite der Kirche wurde 1529 \/ 30 das Hospital St. Johannes als Renaissancebau mit Ziergiebeln auf einem der Schalent\u00fcrme der Stadtbefestigung errichtet, dessen R\u00fcckfront hier abgebildet ist. Die Gerbersaale, ein bis 1893 \/ 94 offener Nebenarm der Saale, wurde \u00fcberw\u00f6lbt und somit der Hallorenring als wichtige Nord- S\u00fcd Verkehrsverbindung geschaffen.<br \/>\nIm Bildhintergrund sieht man das 1908 \/ 09 erbaute ehemalige Polizeipr\u00e4sidium.
